4th of July & Fireworks Schedule for Annapolis

  • 6:30 pm - Annapolis Independence Day Parade starts at Amos Garrett Boulevard & West Street. Parade will head down West Street towards the Church Circle; wind down Main Street; turning left on Randall Street, and will end in front of the Market House.
  • 7:30 pm - Live Concerts: Live entertainment at the conclusion of the parade in front of the Market House
  • 8:00 pm - performance by the United States Naval Academy Band's Concert Band at the City Dock.
  • 9:00 pm - Spa Creek Bridge will close to all vehicular traffic; open only for pedestrian traffic and fireworks viewing.
  • 9:15 pm - Annapolis Fireworks: launched from Farragut Field of the Naval Academy. Great viewing areas include public spaces along the Severn River, Naval Academy Bridge, Spa Creek, and aboard a boat in the Annapolis harbor.

Parking and Transportation
Parking will be restricted in many areas. Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium off Rowe Boulevard will be available with a FREE shuttle from the Stadium to the downtown area at Lawyer’s Mall in front of the State House. The shuttle operates from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. There is a $5 charge for parking at the stadium; the shuttle to downtown is free.
Parking Restrictions: Beginning at 4 p.m. and extending until about 10:30 p.m., parking will be prohibited and violators may be towed from the following areas:

  • City Dock Main Street
  • Randall Street
  • Market Space
  • Cathedral Street between West and Franklin Streets
  • Both sides of Severn Avenue between First and Burnside Streets
  • East side of First, Second and Third streets between Severn and Chester Avenues
  • South side of Chesapeake and Chester avenues between Riverview Avenue and Burnside Street
  • Bay Ridge Avenue between Sixth and Burnside Streets.
  • Bembe Beach Road from Awald to end.

Boating Restrictions
The drawspan of the Eastport Bridge will be closed to boat traffic from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Boaters must avoid the 1,000-foot SAFETY ZONE (38 degrees, 58' 38" North and 76 degrees 28' 22" West) around the fireworks firing area near the Naval Academy seawall which will be established and maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard.
